Buerkle Earns Valuable Endorsement from NFIB

Syracuse, NY – Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle announced on Tuesday that the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) has endorsed her re-election to Congress for New York’s 24th Congressional District.

NFIB National Political Director, Sharon Wolff Sussin said: “Your election is not only critical to the small-business owners in your district, but also to protecting free enterprise across America. On behalf of all NFIB members, our nation’s job creators, we look forward to standing with you this November as you continue to do big things for all business.”

Congresswoman Buerkle took the occasion to stress the importance of small businessmen and women: “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, but Washington is crushing our small businesses with onerous regulations and massive debts and deficits. The economic recovery in Upstate New York will be led by small businesses creating one job at a time, and I am extremely proud to have their full support in this election.”

Earlier this year, Congresswoman Buerkle received a 100% rating on the NFIB annual legislative scorecard. She was one of only four Congressmen from New York State to receive that honor. The scorecard was based on candidate’s positions on healthcare, balanced budgets, government regulations and mandates, and host of other issues.

The NFIB is the leading small business association representing small and independent businesses. A nonprofit, nonpartisan organization founded in 1943, NFIB represents the consensus views of its members.
